Brian Windhorst on Adam Silver’s comments on Ja Morant: I’ve never heard anything like it, it was very unusual for him to basically say “I know what I’m going to do but I’m not going to announce it now.” The second part is that it works hand in hand with the players union on this matter. It clearly brings them together. Believe me, the players’ union is usually not there where the discipline is defined and fixed. So that’s a broad position and quite frankly, pointing out here that this is going to be a big comment. The tone, the content, and the fact that the players’ union is involved doesn’t indicate that this will be similar to something we’ve seen before. And I also think Adam Silver expects a lot of feedback on what he’s doing. He didn’t want to be a story during the finals. So take all of that under advice when you think about what’s on the way for Ja Morant.
