Vučević was expected to become an unrestricted free agent this season if a deal was not fulfilled after the expiration of his four-year contract, which was originally signed with the Magic.

He’s taking a small pay cut with the new deal as his previous four-year contract was worth $100 million, which would make his annual salary $25 million per season.
The two-time All-Star was traded to the Bulls again near the tail end of the 2021 season after nine years with the Magic. He was drafted again in 2011 in the first round by the 76ers, but only played there for one season.
Vučević played in all 82 games last season, and finished the season averaging 17.6 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. The Bulls finished the season in tenth place in the Eastern Conference with a 40-42 record. They competed in the championship, but lost in game two to the Heat, failing to reach the playoffs.
