In a huge development announced Tuesday morning, the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf League have announced they are uniting.
The two-year deal ends what PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan called “obfuscation and distraction,” but it also involved numerous legal actions and strained player relationships across various circuits.
The announcement of the deal surprised the players. “There’s no easy way,” said one PGA Tour player, contacted by ESPN on Tuesday.
Other players from the leagues shared their reactions:

I grew up being a fan of the 4 Aces. Maybe one day I’ll play them on the PGA Tour!

It’s very strange how many people knew this deal was happening. About 5-7 people? The player runs the organization right? 🤷🏻♂️

Nothing like finding out through Twitter that we’re merging with a tour we said we’d never do.
