Nikola Jokic had a great postseason with the Denver Nuggets, yet the star center remains somewhat underrated and underappreciated.
The two-time MVP averages 30.4 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game in the postseason, and he and his team are just three wins away from winning the NBA championship.
However, he may just be starting to get the attention and recognition he deserves.
He’s been gradually moving up the social media opinion leaderboard, and over the past 30 days he’s been leading the category, according to NBA Communications.
Last season, Nikola Jokić ranked 18th among all players in video views on NBA social media platforms.
In that regular season, it rose to no. 9.

Hardly anyone expected Jokic to become the superstar he is today when he was just a second-round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
After an uneventful rookie season, he became a fine starter, then an All-Star, and then the regular season MVP.
As Jokic’s game has improved and developed, so have the Nuggets’ fortunes, as they’ve evolved from a very good playoff team into a legitimate championship contender this season.
For them to claim their first-ever Larry O’Brien Trophy, they’ll have to work out a few missteps they’ve all had in the postseason, as well as clamp down on three-point chances for the Miami Heat.
The Heat scored an amazing percentage from downtown in their Game 2 victory, a game in which Denver blew a 15-point lead and collapsed in the fourth quarter.
Now, Jokic and his partners will have to win at least one of the next two contests in South Florida in order to regain the home court advantage and give themselves a real shot at winning it all.
