Juuse Saros probably isn’t going anywhere but predators will listen
Now Nick Keyser is a Nashville hockey playerNashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros has been in the rumor mill for most of this season.
Elliott Friedman shared on episode 102.5 The Game and said that teams call out Predators and ask about Saros. They are not afraid of making/considering bold moves at the trade deadline.
“When you do that, teams call you because they’re not doing their job if they don’t. I think it was a situation where teams like the Kings, who are looking for goalkeeping, called up and asked how much Saros cost. Now, there’s a lot of goalkeepers on the market, so you make Due diligence difference.
NHN confirmed that the Los Angeles Kings spoke to the Predators at Deadline about Saros.
The consensus seems to be that predators don’t like to trade saros, but that doesn’t mean they won’t listen to the offers.
Blake Wheeler’s days with the Winnipeg Jets seem numbered
Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free PressSources say Blake Wheeler is not expected to return with the Winnipeg Jets next season. A move could come over the next few days.
Buying it is “very possible, but not certain,” said a source. The Jets is still exploring the commercial market for him. Another source said that a member of the Wheeler family told someone in their inner circle that the Jets planned to move on from him.
Neither Gates nor Wheeler’s agent will comment.
Wheeler came to the Jets when they moved from Atlanta and has been the face of the franchise for years. It’s definitely a delicate situation.
