Round 3 of the 2023 Travelers Championship is set to begin soon, with action raging at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
But before either player can make their mark during Saturday’s third round, it’s Mother Nature’s time. With shaky expectations arriving late Friday night, the PGA Tour postponed the start of Round Three until 10:59 a.m. local time, with players exiting in threes from both sets of tees.
All of this means there will be more golfers on the course at all times on Saturday, leaving plenty of golf footage for your TV viewing pleasure. Scroll down to see a preview of Round 3, plus info on where to watch on both TV and online.
Preview tour 3
Two men who were better than anyone else in Connecticut. The first is Denny McCarthy, who was nearly out for 59 in his first innings, finished with a score of 60, and then followed up with a smooth 65 in the second innings on Friday.
The other is Keegan Bradley, who started his tournament with five consecutive birdies, taking 62 and then 63 so far. Yes, the name of the game in Travelers is to take it as deep as you can. McCarthy and Bradley sit at 15 under, two short of the third guy in their group on Saturday: Chez Reavie.
Some of the firepower on the leaderboard lies in Rory McIlroy (eight-under) and Scotty Scheffler (seven-under). At this point, it would take two special rounds to reinsert himself into contention, but anyone can do that these days, it’s one of those two rounds.
You can stream Round 3 of the 2023 Tournament Tournament via The PGA Tour live on ESPN+ Starting at 10:45 a.m. ET on Saturday. You can also watch telecasts on the Golf Channel starting at 1 p.m. ET.
