Draymond Green delivers the podcast everyone wants to hear right now.
Speaking on the final episode of his show titled The Volume, Golden State Warriors forward Green spoke about his suspension from Game 3 of his team’s playoff series against the Sacramento Kings. Green drew a one-match ban for stepping on Kings big man Domantas Sabonis during game two (Video here).
“I never knew you could be stopped because of the Flagrant-2 missile that happened seven years ago,” Green said. “I also didn’t know that you could be suspended for interacting with a crowd that is turning you on, yelling your name, and cheering sucking you in. I didn’t know that either. In saying that, my guys played nicely.”
Green also added that it was “surprising” that he couldn’t be with his team in Game 3.
“I can’t say I really enjoyed the game quite honestly. Being suspended from a match at this point in my career would never affect me from an emotional standpoint outside of… Not being able to get involved in that dogfight — it’s overwhelming.”
