Dillon Brooks has earned a reputation as a villain. Recently, his conversations with LeBron James have been in the center of attention.
In Game 3 against the Lakers he was ejected for hitting James in the groin. But the Memphis forward says it’s the media and fans that make him a villain.
“I’ve been dealing with this two years now. It’s the way it is,” Brooks said after game three. “Fans can turn down what they want. I don’t care. I will continue to play my game, and get better and better every day throughout my career.”
Then he was asked to explain what he had been dealing with for the past two years. “The media makes me a villain, the fans make me a villain, and then that creates a whole different persona,” Brooks explained.
“So now you think I meant to hit LeBron James nuts. I play basketball. I’m a basketball player. So if you meant and that’s all there is to Stark 2 out of Stark 2 existence and you think I did, then that means you believe I’m that kind of person and that’s why I don’t rate. That’s why I don’t rate Mark Taylor at all.”
