Zach LaVine recently purchased a $34 million home in California. The purchase was the most expensive home sale in Orange County in 2023, a sign that Lavigne is serious about staying in the Bay Area for the long term. Could this be a sign that the Bulls superstar is on his way out of Chicago?
As the free agency period continues, many questions surround the Chicago Bulls franchise. The team was spending through free agency, resigning Nikola Vucevic and Colby White and signing Jevon Carter and Torey Craig as the starting players off the bench.
After Zach LaVine signed a massive contract extension last summer, the Bulls’ fate rests on his shoulders, especially with fellow backcourt Lonzo Ball out for another year with an injury.
However, for the past few weeks, trade rumors have been swirling about LaVine in potential swaps for Damian Lillard and James Harden.
LaVine is one of the 20 highest paid players in the league. Amid trade rumors, the former UCLA Bruin decided to buy a $34 million mansion in Orange County, adding fuel to the fire he wants from Chicago.
Zach LaVine buys the most expensive home in the Orange Country market
LaVine just bought a new mansion in Pelican Crest, California. The sale price was estimated at $34 million, making it the most expensive home ever bought on the market in the gated community.
The sale took place in the spring but it was just revealed that the mystery buyer was NBA star Zack LaVine. The Tuscan-style villa was initially listed for $40 million, but Lavigne finalized the deal a month later when the home fell under the asking price.
The sellers, Rob and Amy Duke, purchased the 0.8-acre estate in 2021 for $14.7 million and completely remodeled the house.
The property is located in a very expensive gated community that is home to Vanessa Bryant and hot pockets inventor Paul Mirage.
