Despite some confusion over the past year, the exact height of spursNo. 1 pick Victor Wimbanyama has been officially registered.
Tottenham confirmed that the Frenchman stands at 7′ 3 1/2″ without wearing any shoes.
This height makes Wimpanyama half an inch shorter than previously stated by the NBA prior to the NBA Draft. However, he is just over 7′ 3 1/4″ tall. He was listed last October when he was playing in Las Vegas for two exhibition games with his French Metropolitans 92 team.
Heading into the 2023-24 season, the San Antonio rookie will officially be the second tallest player in the league behind Clippers center Boban Marjanovic, who is 7’4″.
Wimpanyama is expected to make his Summer League debut with the Spurs on July 7 when he and San Antonio take on the Hornets and No. 2 pick Brandon Miller.
The French phenomenon joins a Spurs team that went 22-60 last season, the worst record for the franchise since 1997.
