Before coming to the NBA with unrealistic expectations, Victor Wimpanyama is looking forward to adding to his impressive resume in the NFL. The projected No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and his team, Boulogne Levallois Metropolitans 92, beat Léon Villeurbanne on Sunday to advance to the National Basketball Association (LNB) Finals.
Wimpanyama scored 15 points in the 71-69 win, along with seven rebounds and five blocks, in the outstanding performance. One such fumble was crucial while his team held a three-point advantage with less than a minute to go in regulation. After the win, the big man took to Twitter in glee ahead of the championship series.

The French phenom added an alien emoji, presumably as a nod to LeBron James’ viral comment about him in October 2022 when James called him an “alien” due to his impressive height and skills.
The best-of-five LNB championship series between the Metropolitans 92 in Wembanyama and Monaco is set to begin on Saturday.
