The Phoenix Suns bounced back big in game two on Tuesday night, and they’re now tied for one game with the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs.
This series is full of star power, making it one of the most fun matches to bet on the prop market. I have three of the plays I love in Game 3 on Thursday in LA, including various 3-point props.
Suns vs. Clippers are the best prop bets for the NBA
- Devin Booker Under 2.5 3-pointers
- Eric Gordon made over 2.5 3 headers
- Deandre Ayton to record a double double
Devin Booker Under 2.5 3-pointers
Don’t overreact to Devin Booker’s big three-point shooting performance in Game 2.
Prior to that bid, Booker had cleared 2.5 of 3 seconds in one other game since March 11th. Furthermore, he had failed to land a single shot from depth in his previous three games.
Booker prefers to do his work in the middle range, and if the Clippers continue to play drop and roll coverage, the Suns should have trouble allowing Booker and Chris Paul to get into their midrange positions to shoot shots.
Eric Gordon made over 2.5 3 headers
Eric Gordon has seen huge volume from beyond the arc in this series, taking 16 3-pointers over the first two games, hitting seven of them.
Now, Gordon is coming home to the Clips after clearing that record in each of his first two games of the series.
In addition to the money, Gordon is valuable for exceeding that number if he were to attempt more than 7 depth shots each night.
Deandre Ayton to record a double double
Deandre Ayton was outstanding in Game 2 for the Suns, scoring 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbing 13 rebounds. Phoenix had a great +15 in the 32nd minute.
The key for Phoenix in this series may be Ayton’s ability to clean the glass, as the Clippers have had plenty of second chances over their first two games.
He answered the call with 13 boards in Game 2, and I think there’s value to him doing it again in Game 3. Ayton averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the regular season, and it’s clear Monty Williams will play him as often as he can in this series.
Ayton played 32 minutes despite sitting out the final eight minutes of the third quarter after committing his fourth foul. I would love for him to have a 10 and at least a 10 on Thursdays.
