The Denver Nuggets have a 2-0 lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves heading into Game 3, and we saw two players (Jamal Murray and Anthony Edwards) drop 40 points in Game 2.
There’s a wildcard bet I love for Edwards at home in Game 3, as well as another bet for MVP candidate Nikola Jokic.
Let’s dive into our Friday work picks:
Nuggets vs. Timberwolves Best NBA Support Bets
- Anthony Edwards over 25.5 points
- Nikola Gocic more than 0.5 3 heads making
Anthony Edwards over 25.5 points
Edwards finished the regular season on a strong note, clearing the mark in three of four games, but struggled in the postseason prior to Wednesday Night.
On Wednesday, though, Edwards went insane, scoring 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting, establishing himself as Minnesota’s top offensive option.
With Karl-Anthony Towns (8-for-27 this series) struggling for his shot, I expect the Wolves to look at Edwards early and often as he keeps their hopes alive in Game 3.
Nikola Gocic more than 0.5 3 heads making
Am I overreacting to Game 2 a bit? maybe.
But Jokic took three shots from outside the arc in Game 2, hitting one of them as Rudi Gobert continued his run back at the 3-point line.
Jokic has scored 38.3 percent from 3-point range this season, but it’s not something he looks forward to doing every night.
However, if Joubert gives him the chance, I could see Jokic taking a little bit of depth again on Friday in an effort to stretch Minnesota’s defense. Those are good odds for Jokic to get only 1 out of 3 on Friday.
