The NBA is investigating whether referee Eric Lewis secretly used a Twitter account to defend himself in online discussions.
Some Twitter investigators allegedly discovered Lewis was using an anonymous account to defend himself. the account in question he is called Blair Cotliff. “Blair” is his wife’s maiden name, as well as the name of one of Louis’ children.
By the time most people followed the account, it had no followers and was following five accounts. The five accounts he was following included: the official NBA account, three accounts related to NBA officials and then the George Mason women’s basketball Twitter account. Louis’s wife Vanessa Blair Lewis Coached the George Mason women’s team.
Much of the Twitter activity from this account involved responses to conversations where the name “Eric Lewis” was mentioned. You can see a screen recording showing Twitter activity from this account:
