The New York Knicks are coming off a fairly successful season, their youth are thriving and they are getting along really well together.
That’s why the team has to consider the future of some key contributors, especially the prolific goalscorer from the bench: Emmanuel Kwekley.
Quickley averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 boards and 3.4 dimes per game last season, and is now eligible to sign a contract extension.
According to Sean Deveney of Heavy (via NBACentral), the talented guard will command nine figures over four years in his impending extension, per an unnamed league executive.

It would be wise for the Knicks to settle a deal with Quickley before training camp.
Otherwise, he could become a restricted free agent at the end of the season, and that decision could be very costly for the Knickerbockers if he continues to get off the ground and improve the way he has since entering the league.
The No. 25 pick from Kentucky was a major steal and a bargain for the Knicks.
He averaged north of 21 points while shooting 40.1% from beyond the arc after the All-Star break last season, being a front-runner for Sixth Man of the Year and also being a source of offense when called upon to be a starter.
Quickley is a pure caterer and solid facilitator, and the Knicks don’t have many of those on the list.
All things considered, him signing a contract extension should be a no-brainer at this point, even with this new CBA.
