Marv Edwards played hockey for a long time and was a member of the Leafs, Penguins and Golden Seals. Unfortunately, he passed away last week.
Marv Edwards, as one of the pioneers of the sport, participated out of pure enjoyment. He spent most of his career in the minor leagues before, at the age of 33, he managed to break into the NHL.
Edwards played 25 games for the Maple Leafs in 1969-70, recording a 3.23 GAA while contributing to the team’s ten victories.
Despite the short duration of Edwards’ NHL career (61 games), his teammates loved him and were glad to have him on their team.
Marv and his family are in our prayers. Peace be upon him.
