suns Coach Monty Williams has called on the NBA to put in place a rule to prevent players from sneaking into the opposing team’s pool after a Bean encounter Kevin Durant And Nikola Jokic Tuesday night.
With only 37 seconds left in the third quarter, Devin Booker was shooting free throws and his teammates were in the bench crowd when Nuggets’ point guard Bruce Brown and Jokic tried to sneak into the meeting. Durant gently shoved Brown out of the way and then put his forearm into Jokic’s chest, causing the MVP to double-throw his arms and stumble backwards. Durant and Brown were assessed for technical fouls in the scrimmage, but Williams still wanted to do something more solid.
“The league should know all this stuff,” he said after Phoenix’s 118-102 loss, referring to players inserting themselves into the opposing team’s pool. “There’s a lot of silliness going on in the NBA when it comes to that. Everyone does it. There should be a written rule that you don’t have to go to somebody’s pool, but everyone in the league does it, it’s kind of silly.” .
