On Saturday, the Miami Heat defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 121-99, to go 2-1 off the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. However, they may have lost a vital member of the team in the process.
Late in the fourth quarter, Victor Oladipo, who has a history of catastrophic injuries, sustained an apparent injury to his left knee, prompting an emotional response from players on both sides, along with Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.
After the match, Spoelstra commented on Oladipo’s injury, telling reporters that he felt like he was “vomiting”.
“It was a great win,” Spoelstra said via Twitter. Bali Sports. “But when you see a player go down like that, especially a player like Vic who’s been through a lot in the last three years – I don’t know what it is now, so I don’t want to move anything – but it’s definitely not a good feeling to see Vic on the ground like that.”
Oladipo was injured as he was driving to the basket for a layup. When Oladipo jumped into the air, his left leg appeared to fall to the ground. He immediately grabbed his left knee before being helped off the field by his teammates.
