On Monday morning, it was revealed that Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks was adamant that his team try to strike a massive trade to lure LeBron James away from the Los Angeles Lakers.
This potential trade package was laughable to some and intriguing to others.
Everyone agrees that James is not going to pack his bags and head to Texas.
Shannon Sharpe summed up his reasons on Tuesday morning, saying James would never put his family through it in the later years of his career.
“I don’t think LeBron James uprooted his family from Cleveland, Ohio to come out here to L.A. to suddenly say, ‘You know what, I want to spend the last two years in Dallas,'” Sharpe said.

His family’s uprooting is one of the many reasons why James is probably so resistant to any kind of change like this.
While he would enjoy playing with Irving again, he wouldn’t disrupt his home life and shake up both teams at this point in his NBA tenure.
The Mavericks will have to move heaven and earth to get James and it will leave them with a great team that can’t really compete.
Why leave a team that made it to the Western Conference Finals to a team that will have a hard time making it that far?
James made a name and a home for himself in Los Angeles, and is all set to enjoy the final years of his career and then embark on life thereafter in Southern California.
Irving can hope and wish for this trade to happen, but that won’t make it a reality.
