While he wasn’t hitting his shot, Westbrook affected the game on various other levels, doing a lot of his dirty work in Los Angeles on the road in Phoenix.
The 34-year-old made 10 rebounds in Game 1 on Sunday, five of which came on the offensive end.

Westbrook more than made up for his shooting troubles when he locked Devin Booker during the closing moments of the fourth quarter, emphatically blocked his shot and then grabbed the rebound and threw it away from the Suns star to regain possession for the Clippers.
He may have shot just over 15% from the field in the first game, but Westbrook never lacked any confidence when addressing reporters in the aftermath, even going so far as to bill himself as the best rebounding guard in the league.
After Sunday’s performance, it’s hard to argue with him.
