INCHEON, South Korea – Robert McIntyre took the lead when the weather-affected third day of the Korea Championship was suspended due to fading light on Saturday.
After morning fog and rain pushed the afternoon tee times by more than two hours, MacIntyre produced a series of good wedge putts on the 3-under 69 in a strong wind at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club.
The Scot is tied at the top of the leaderboard at 8 under Pablo Larzabal, who was 2 under in the third round with two holes completed. Play resumes at 8am local time on Sunday for the European Tour event.
“We just got stuck in there,” McIntyre said. “It’s an attitude. It’s a big attitude. This weekend you have to be positive. Tomorrow is going to be the same no matter where we end up. Just be positive and give your best.”
Co-leader at the halfway point Park Sang-hyun, of South Korea, was in a tie for third place – one shot behind the leader – having finished one time in his round with four holes remaining. Scott Jamieson of Scotland was next to Park after being shot at 71.
