Nix straight ahead RJ Barrett I had a big night during the decisive 5th match win over heat. With the Eastern Conference Semifinals back in Miami for Game 6, Barrett made it clear that the team’s mentality is heading into another game.
Speaking postgame on MSG, Barrett noted that the team’s series deficit is challenging, but not insurmountable.
“We are fighting for our lives” He said Barrett after winning on Wednesday. “This is something that can be done. It’s been done 13 times before.”
Barrett points to the previous 13 teams that have avoided a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs and won the series. He’s hoping the Knicks can pull off a win in Miami on Friday and put himself in a position to increase that number to 14 for the team.

Barrett scored 26 points in the win, but he’s focused on the task at hand, and this is Game Six.
Going into Wednesday night, the Knicks were 0-14 in games in which they trailed the series 3-1. They picked up their first win at home against the Heat in Game 5, though they will now be looking to pick up a win in Miami, where they lost two games earlier in the series.
