A shooting in Denver left nine people injured, three seriously, following the Nuggets’ first-ever NBA championship on Monday, Police told ABC News.
The shooting occurred near the 2000 block of Market Street, about one mile from the Ball Arena. The detained suspect was also shot. The report stated that he believed his injuries were not life threatening.
“This is a complex and ongoing investigation that is in its early stages,” Denver police told ABC News. “Initial information indicates that several shots were fired during a quarrel involving several individuals.”
Police said many fans left the area before the shooting began, but there was still a small crowd present at the time of the shooting.
