Milwaukee Bucks star guard Chris Middleton He turned down a $40 million player option and will become an unrestricted free agent, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Wojnarowski adds that a return to Milwaukee is possible.

Middleton played 10 of his 11 seasons with the Bucks, winning an NBA title in 2021. He is a three-time All-Star and represented the United States at the Tokyo Olympics.
The 32-year-old has averaged 17 points on 45 percent shooting in his career, but was limited to just 33 games last season due to injuries.
After the Bucks were eliminated from the playoffs by the Heat, it was reported that Middleton had surgery on his right knee but is expected to recover by next season.
