PXG
For nearly a decade, PXG has helped revolutionize barbell design by introducing a groundbreaking new technology: a hollow, skinny-face body supported by injection molding. Technology helped create the original 0311 irons, a game-changing tool for PXG that delivered the look of a blade, great forgiveness, and an incredibly smooth feel.
Now, this technology seems to be going green. PXG plans to use the same S COR iron technology to help improve the racquet design while improving feel, sound and tolerance in the new line of Battle Ready II racquets.
“We are always learning and improving, and the Battle Ready II rackets are another clear example of our unwavering commitment to advancing technology to produce significantly better performance,” said Bob Parsons, Founder and CEO of PXG. “From consistency across the face to feel on impact, these putters deliver in spades—and the new platinum finish is absolutely gorgeous.”
technology
S COR’s lightweight, polymer-injected technology bonds to the entire inner structure of the thin-walled club heads to not only support the structure but also dampen harsh sound and vibration. Thanks to the backing, the racquet face is only 0.055″ thick, allowing more mass to be placed around the outside to greatly increase tolerance.
This additional tolerance results in a 10% higher MOI rate than previous generation Battle Ready racquets. To put that in perspective, any gain over 3-6 percent MOI is quite a leap in tolerance in the golf equipment space.
Battle Ready II will continue to use the exact weight technology of Battle Ready I to finalize head weight and dial firing conditions.
For players who tend to pull putts, a heavier head can help slow spin just as a heavier driver can reduce draw or draw. Reversing can help players who tend to leave the face open, and in extreme cases, it’s possible to have asymmetric weight directions to help adjust face rotation and impact dynamics.
From an extended mounting perspective, Battle Ready II putters support four different hose configurations to fit any putt stroke: a traditional plumber’s neck, short slant neck, double-bend, and lever lock. A set number of heads also allows for the axle shaft to be configured.
Last but not least, PXG Battle Ready II Putters also feature a pyramid face grind pattern to create a smooth, responsive feel on impact.
