Sekeres and Price: Blake Price and Rick Dhaliwal on whether the Vancouver Canucks should consider bringing in a defenseman Chris Tanev or forward Tyler Tufoli behind.

Price: “Tire fire in Calgary these days. Tyler Toffoli is among those…He loved it here. I can’t picture an in-department trade but, I mean, we know Tyler Toffoli loved it in Vancouver”
Daliwal: “Well, my eyes aren’t on Tyler Tofoli. I don’t care what Blake says. In my eyes, there’s maybe seven UFA’s next year for the Calgary Flames. My eyes are on Chris Tanev. What’s going on with Chris Tanev?”
Because I wonder if there can be a reunion with Tanev in Vancouver. And I’ll tell you why. Look, if Hanifin leaves, he obviously wants to play in the US market, and that would be good news for Tanev because his stock is going up. If Hanifin leaves, Tanev’s stock is up because he’s UFA in just over a year.
I didn’t really look into whether or not the Canucks would be interested in Toffoli. But again, more wings, Blake,
The Price: “This would be a wing for wing bargain.
Dhaliwal: “I thought you meant if it was the UFA market. I haven’t looked at Tofoli but all he does is score. He’s not the fastest guy in the world but he has a great hockey sense. He led the Flames in goals last year. He’s a great teammate He really was loved in Vancouver.
Remember after the bubble, all those guys left – (Jakob) Markstrom, Tanev, Tovoli, (Troy) Stecher. He was one of the guys who wanted to stay. He clearly said to his agent at the time, “I want to stay in Vancouver.” But putting on the bubble cap was, it’s amazing to me guys, five years after putting on the bubble cap, we’re still in the same mess in Vancouver.
Will there come a time in this city when they are not in Hell? “
Price: “Well, they’re not in hell right now but they’re in purgatory because they know there’s still more hat-tricks to come.”
