Re-ranking the 6 Most Influential NFL Trades of the Past 10 Years | Ovarian report
1. The Chiefs take over the 2017 No. 10 overall pick from the Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs forever changed their fortunes with this brilliantly executed trade in… 2017 NFL Draft. Originally selected 27th overall that year, Kansas City identified Patrick Mahomes as a potential player for the franchise, and decided to make a huge jump to secure him.
Although it took swapping first rounds and adding a third-place finisher in 2017 and a first-place finisher in 2018 to convince Buffalo bills To slide down the board, it’s a move bosses should never regret. Not only did Mahomes earn a pair of Player of the Year awards in the first half of his career, he also led his club to a pair of power addresses. Given that Kansas City hadn’t won a championship since Super Bowl IV in 1969 before winning it all in Mahomes’ third season, it’s safe to say no player has put his stamp on this organization like the quarterback has already done.
The Bills got some quality pieces out of this deal as well, but none of them anywhere near had the same kind of franchise-shifting impact that Mahomes could have had for the club. Tre’Davious White, 2017 first-rounder, and Tremaine Edmunds, 2018 first-rounder, each got a pair of Pro Bowl He nodded early in their career, but the latter left in free agency leaving White as the only asset left on Buffalo’s roster from this deal.
It’s safe to say that Kansas City won this deal by any metric you can look at. The move will continue to pay the Chiefs dividend in years to come and could look even worse for the Bills if Josh Allen isn’t able to lead this squad to a title before his tenure in Buffalo ends.

PFF Quarterback Rankings: All 32 Starters Before The 2023 NFL Season | pff
1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes is the standard by which all NFL football players are now measured. With the Manning and Brady names now a thing of the past, Mahomes is the new standard pushing the boundaries of what we’ve seen previously. Since joining the league, he has 191 putouts including the postseason, the most in the NFL. He also passed for 8.1 yards per attempt, a number surpassed only by quarterbacks playing for Kyle Shanahan during the same span.

4. The Kansas City Chiefs
Biggest Force of 2023: Patrick Mahomes
No matter who has the Mahomes as traffic-picking options, he always seems to make it work. This has never been more true than in 2022. Despite the loss of top receiver Terek Hill in a deal with dolphinsMahomes still scored the season’s MVP and won his second Super Bowl.
Biggest Weakness in 2023: Wide receiver
The Chiefs were already skinny at wide receiver heading into the offseason, and now they’ve lost JuJu Smith-Schuster to free agency. At the moment, the best receiver is Marquez Valdes-Scantling. However, they do have several potential candidates, like Sky Moore and Justin Ross.
Tony Cadarius
It’s time, right? Tony caught just 14 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns in seven regular season games played for the Chiefs after being acquired at the trade deadline, but he played a monster in winning Super Bowl LVII with a touchdown reception, then the longest kick return in Super Bowl history.
With JuJu Smith-Schuster gone, Toney is expected to be a steady part of the offense in 2023. While he’s mostly seen as a tool player compared to the traditional WR1 game, General Manager Brett Veach believes Toney will play a key role moving forward.
“We have a lot of high hopes for him. I mean he was a first-round pick for a reason,” Fitch said. Training and with Pat, and I think he’s doing a great job at it, I think the sky’s the limit for him.”
NFL gives KC two new international markets | Arrow addict
The Chiefs head to Germany this year for their first-ever official game in mainland Europe, and the game against the Miami Dolphins should be a very hot ticket in Frankfurt this November. Even before that time, the Chiefs had been pushing fan engagement and commercial opportunities there in Germany knowing they were making a long-term push to grow the team’s European fan base.
Given the Chiefs’ foothold in Germany, the league also gave them (and two other franchises) the rights to further their marketing efforts in neighboring countries, Austria and Switzerland. Exhibitions in Germany will be held in Munich and Frankfurt and both countries are very close to these two cities, making access easy and obvious for heads-up on this next level.
KC Chiefs Sues Provider of Football’s Official “Tequila” | Kansas City Star
California-based Don Neron Spirits has agreed to become the team’s official tequila for the 2022 to 2028 season, with a price tag of $4,075,614. But in a lawsuit filed last month in Jackson County Court, the chiefs alleged that the company paid the first installment of $180,000 late before failing to make the next installment.
Finally, the chiefs ask the judge to order the spirits company to pay $3,939,700 — which includes the remaining contract fees, about $39,000 in interest and attorneys’ fees.
In the lawsuit, alleging breach of contract, attorneys for the chiefs said the first payment was due in April 2022, but was not paid until August of that year. The attorney at law firm Polsinelli said the firm owed $7,300 in interest.
The second payment of $180,000 was due in July 2022, but Don Neron did not make it, according to the lawsuit. The interest on that amounted to about $16,800.
The third fee was due in August 2022, but since Don Neron didn’t complete it, the company owes more interest: about $14,900, the attorney wrote.
The chiefs also said they were entitled to $5,000 in expenses for the cost of enforcing the contract, such as attorneys’ fees.

Adrian Peterson Says He’s Not Retiring: ‘Mentally, I haven’t officially hung it up’ | Ovarian report
Four-time All-Pro named Adrian Peterson hasn’t officially hung up his boots yet, but he did admit to Clarence Hill of Fort Worth Star Telegram He will officially retire if he doesn’t get a chance this season.
“Mentally, I haven’t officially put it on hold. We’ll see what happens,” Peterson told Hill. “My mind is, God willing, maybe there will be a window of opportunity, maybe it will happen this season. I will go from there. But [if] Nothing happens this season, for sure, I’ll put it on hold.”

The Chiefs’ Juan Taylor is best suited to play right tackle, not left
opposition competition
Coaches and defensive players have known for many years that – usually – The opponent’s right tackle is a worse player than the left tackle player. This is still true today. This has led to many of the NFL’s best pass catchers lining up primarily on the left side of the defense – or on the opposite side of the right tackle. In the ultimate chess match which is soccer, it was a good choice for defenses to create perfect one-on-one encounters.
However, there are a few teams in which the right tackle is the best (and possibly highest paid) offensive lineman for their roster. The Chiefs actually had one of those offenses just a few years ago, from 2016-20, when former All-Pro Mitchell Schwartz was running the right tackle position with tremendous consistency. At the time, left tackle Eric Fisher was very good Pro BowlCaliber option. Schwartz was without a doubt the greatest pass-blocking left or right tackle in the entire league—he was able to single-handedly match hits with defensive ends like Von Miller and Khalil Mack in their physical preseason drills.
Jumping to the present, think about how the best defensive ends are being used right now. Below is a list of recognizable names, with the percentage of shots that aligned across the correct heading to follow.
Max Crosby Las Vegas Raiders – 94%
TJ Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers – 96%
Joy Bosa, Los Angeles Chargers – 69%
by miller, Buffalo bills – 58%
Matt Goodon, New England Patriots – 69%
Nick Bosa, San Francisco 49ers – 61%
While there are a few elite players (Miles Jarrett and Micah Parsons to name a few) who line up a bit more frequently against left tackles, we continue to see that Most Often, the best pass attackers in the league make the right tackle.
