Theme game
It’s the last game of the season, and the Rangers have nothing to play for. Qualifying starts next week, and it’s all set at this point. The only goal is not to get hurt and maybe (hopefully?) get some powerplay opportunities to work on that. Otherwise, this is meaningless hockey apart from the blue shirts from our post-game appearance party.
Toronto is in a similar position, hoping to avoid injuries. They put Matthew Kniss on their roster tonight, which caused a cap crisis and an EBUG situation that upset quite a few people. However, unlike the Rangers, they were able to use emergency calls. Amazing how this works, isn’t it?
Just don’t get hurt tonight. That’s all that matters.
