As the first pick in last year’s draft, Orlando Magic forward Paolo Panchero faced a plethora of prospects – both internal and external.
He met his own exceptions as a junior while surpassing others.
“I wouldn’t say I got over them but I certainly did meet them,” said Panchero. “I did everything I wanted to do my first year. It’s definitely time to move to another level this next year. That’s what I’m excited about.”
While shifting his focus to his off-season work, Banchero also took time to reflect on the season leading up to him being the bet’s best Rookie of the Year.
Averaging 20 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, he became the 12th rookie in league history to average at least 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in a single season.
