Levan Chokheli was awarded a unanimous decision victory at Bellator 294, putting together a winning streak – and according to the Georgian welterweight, everything went according to plan.
“That was my plan, my team’s plan. Dominate all over, crush that guy. Mix it up — fist bump, punch, kick, low kick, kick, high kick,” Chokheli told media including Cageside Press after the fight. things with my hands and my legs. Everything. And mix it up, at the end of the round, take it down. Make some ground pounds. It is what it is. That was my plan, that was my game.”
“I think that was 100% my fight,” Chokheli later added. And despite tiring a bit in the third, he felt as if he had given his best in the final five minutes. This, in fact, is usually his best tour, Chokeley explained.
“I think the third round is the first round for me. Because when I get a little tired, I’m a better fighter. No emotion, just aggression. Just clearly follow the strategy.”
As for what comes next, Levan Chokeley has two opponents in line: Neiman Gracie, and Michael “Venom” Page.
“I was in the top ten, and then they changed it up. But now I know I’m going to be in the top ten and I want to fight with Neiman Gracie and man of the match,” Chokeley stated. “I know they are at the top, but I want more, top 5, I want to fight with Neman. I respect Neman, I respect the best player, but I want to fight with them.
