With the series going 1-1 to South Beach and Jimmy Butler’s ankle getting three days to heal, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was preparing for a fight the Roman Empire might appreciate.
“If you’re into basketball, you have to love this series. You’ve got great competition. Guys are after it,” Spoelstra said. “Leave anything to chance. Both teams will probably use the extra day just to get ready for the gladiatorial battle that’s about to start on Saturday.”
The Knicks won the hustle Tuesday night, specifically on the glass down the stretch. The ball that turned the win over for New York took over a minute and included four offensive rebounds, ending with Josh Hart’s third cornerback that made the score 96 with 4:45 remaining.
