JTA is still rooting for her hometown team as a “lifelong” Warriors fan appeared in the original NBC Sports Bayara
NBA Champion Juan Toscano Anderson is no longer with the Warriors, but they will forever have a special place in his heart.
The impending free agent and Oakland native attended Golden State’s last two home games in the opening round of the NBA Series against the Sacramento Kings, support of his former colleagues along with the rest of Dub Nation at Chase Center.
After spending the 2022-23 season in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz, Toscano Anderson made clear his support for the Warriors during an interview with 95.7 The Game’sWillard and Debs” on monday.
“There are two parts,” Toscano Anderson began. “I mean, I’m obviously from there, so I went home, caught a few games. I’m a lifelong Warrior fan, so even though I’m not on the team out there in competition, I’m still a fan.”
The 30-year-old’s jersey number 95 represents East Oakland’s 95th Street, where he grew up a die-hard Warriors fan. He won an NBA title with his favorite boyhood team in 2022, but then signed with the Lakers last season after the Warriors didn’t. Make him a qualified offer.
Once you’re a Warrior – especially a fan favorite like Toscano Anderson is at bay – you’re family.
Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, just the environment [the Warriors] You create,” Toscano-Anderson continued. “It’s like, once a warrior, always a warrior. They welcome me back with open arms… they hosted me so well. I have so many wonderful things to say about my visit home. It was a lot of fun.”
The Warriors won Games 3 and 4 at the Chase Center on Thursday and Sunday evening in the Western Conference series with the Kings with two wins each.
Toscano Anderson had a feeling it was going to happen, as he explained to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Bonta Hill, Festus Ezeli and Chris Mullin after game one on “Warriors Postgame Live.”
“I said, ‘[The Kings] They are able to run four in a row. Now, will this happen? No, but they’re really good,” Toscano-Anderson told Willard and Dibs.[The Warriors are] Kind of made me look good in my notes, winning two home runs.”

The Toscano Anderson Warriors faced a lot of adversity last season on their way to winning the 2022 NBA Finals. Despite Golden State’s problematic record in 2022-23, he believes the team can take Game 5 on Wednesday at the Golden 1 Center.
“They just have to get on the road and handle the business, but they’re very capable of doing that,” Toscano-Anderson said. “They are a team of championship caliber and are very well trained, among many other things.”
As a lifelong Warriors fan, Toscano-Anderson Just might be on to something. And with his future in the NBA in limbo before free agency, who knows? He might end up playing in the Gulf.
