A few weeks ago, Jordan Paul was transferred from the Golden State Warriors to the Washington Wizards.
This capped a long and complicated season for the guard, who had signed a major contract extension with the Warriors just months earlier.
According to Paul, he was “kind of” ready to be traded and felt something could happen as NBA draft day in June approached.
Via a video from Jason Dumas, Paul told the media that he and his agent had talked in the day trading about a possible deal coming together.
In the end, Paul’s suspicions were correct.

The fact that Paul “sort of” knows he can be traded speaks to his relationship with the Warriors.
For months, people have been wondering if Paul has a future with Golden State, even with his recent extension.
The season started in poor fashion, as Paul was punched by Draymond Green during a training session.
He ended up averaging 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game but hit a very rough patch when the team needed him most.
During the playoffs, his averages dropped to 10.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
Countless fans were left angry and confused by the struggles he had in the postseason.
These problems, combined with the green situation, made many people think Paul could be on his way out of Golden State.
Paul must have been well aware that his time with the Warriors might be coming to an end.
When he was eventually sent to the Wizards as part of the Chris Paul deal, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in Paul’s career.
Now Washington fans are wondering which version of him to get their hands on.
