Jim Miller has booked UFC fight #42.
Lightweight Miller (35-17, 1NC), who holds the record for most fights in promotion history, is set to take on Ludovit Klein (19-4-1) at the upcoming Fight Night event on June 3, 2023.
MMA junkie He was the first to report the news of the match with Klein reservation confirmation on social media.
When Miller first joined the promotion in 2008 with an 11-1 record, George W. Bush remained president, the Philadelphia Phillies were days away from winning the World Series, and Georges St-Pierre had recently regained the welterweight title.
Few at the time could have predicted Miller’s longevity. But he won his debut at UFC 89 on October 18 of that year, and a rematch in December. Fast forward 15, and Miller entered the fray with Klein after losing to Alexander Hernandez, which snapped a three-way winning streak.
Despite contracting Lyme disease during his fighting career, Miller never pulled out of a bout until his 2021 date with Nicholas Mota had to be canceled when “A-10” contracted COVID-19. That fight was later rescheduled for February 2022, with Miller winning via TKO.
The 39-year-old has stated that he wants to continue competing until at least UFC 300, which should take place in 2024. At his rate, he’ll likely be entering UFC fight #45 by that point.
Klein will enter the fight after a draw against Jay Herbert at UFC 286 last month. The Slovak is 3-2-1 overall in the UFC so far.
