The Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night and Grant Williams was part of their victory.
Although he did not score any points for the team, he was an important factor in their defensive plans and grabbed 4 defensive rebounds.
He also helped build team chemistry, something he’d been doing all season.
After the game, Jaylen Brown told the press about the way Williams helps the Celtics.
“Grant was amazing, you know. Grant was down to earth all year,” Brown said.
“He’s a tremendous part of our team. He’s challenged him in different ways. His level of maturity, the ability to play his part, the ability to raise his level, stop and do what’s needed to do… You couldn’t ask for anything better than that. Grant is a true professional.”

Brown commented on how Williams was willing to do whatever it takes to make his team win.
He was very flexible when it came to the minutes he spent on the floor.
As noted by Brown, Williams did not play much in the first round of the qualifiers but was called upon more during the semifinals.
Williams is not the most productive player when it comes to points (8.1 per game in 2022-23) but he is very good when it comes to stopping and responding to opponents.
There are times when he gets a little excited and is driven by his feelings.
But Brown said Williams was sexy nonetheless and pushed through that part of his personality.
This is Williams’ third season with the Celtics and may be his most productive yet.
No matter what his team needs, Williams wants to deliver.
