Austin Rivers: It bothers me [the Nuggets] They are in the finals. It bothers me that I didn’t play Jamal Murray. It bothers me that now everyone is like, “Oh, they have this whole list.” No, they have f—— seven guys to play. They don’t even play a full roster. They don’t even play with a full squad right now. … I feel bitter. I’m salty. I’m all in the middle. The only reason I’m happy is because I’m good friends with Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. And I’m glad they made it to the finals. … And it was difficult to play them in the first round. Not only was it difficult, but I went from playing 20 minutes in a game over the Denver Nuggets to not playing a minute in the Timberwolves’ first two games and then losing in the first round. It’s been a bumpy ride the past two months. And I’ve had a humble pie before, but oh my. …but yeah, am I really really crazy? No, I’m happy for the sake of youth. But is there a salty part of me in this situation? That I look on TV and see these guys lifting trophies? I’m like, “Brother, no.” -via Spotify / June 4, 2023
