Reigning UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling isn’t convinced Sean O’Malley deserves his next title.
In the main event of UFC 292 on August 19, Sterling is set to defend his 135-pound title against the famous and hard-hitting O’Malley. While “Sugar” is currently ranked No. 2, Sterling recently questioned whether he really deserved the title.
O’Malley is one of the biggest stars of the UFC, and some feel he has been on the receiving end of favoritism from the promotion, especially after his controversial win over Petr Yan.

Continuing on, Sterling compared his and O’Malley’s win to Peter Yan.
“I had this fight (against Yan) and it was like, Dude, we’re not the same,Sterling said. “We are not the same. I cut my teeth in this sport and in this department. What am I, 15-3 now? What are we even talking about? I got a resume. So I don’t think Sean deserves the spot.”
