Cliff Omoroi, the basketball center at Rutgers, showed a good performance this weekend at the G League Elite Camp. The NBA draft certainly helped him achieve his career aspirations and may have cemented himself as a player who is ready to take the next step in his professional career.
It’s been a solid couple of days for Omoroi, even if he was more flashy in his first match at the event. Omoruyi is assigned to the “Fourth Team”.
for starters, Omoruyi scored 12 points and added seven rebounds in Saturday’s win for the “Fourth Team.” As part of a design to see that all players got their chance to be featured by NBA scouts and teams, most players at the event started with one of two scheduled games.
On Sunday as part of the player and minutes rotation, Omoroi came off the bench, Scored three points and added three rebounds in just 17 minutes.
He hit his only shot in what was a “fourth team” loss.

He also measured and tested well:
-
Heigh: 6 feet – 9 inches
-
Weight:
-
Hand dimensions (width): 11 in
-
Standing Reach: 9 feet 2.5 inches
-
Wingspan: 7 feet 6.25 inches
He is a good height and weight as well as his body fat which is at 6 percent. But its wingspan and standing reach are impressive. His solid performance over the weekend coupled with his height should impress some scouts.
This was a great weekend for Omoroi, perhaps even to the point where he will become a renewable player.
