The 2022–23 NBA Playoffs saw its share of memorable moments, with one of them Lakers Superstar LeBron James“Beef” with grizzly Protect Dillon Brooks during the second round series.

During a recent podcast appearance, the Clippers star told Grizzlies Paul George He believes James found extra energy in his trash talk, and it helped propel the Lakers to victory. But, while Jackson admitted that antics may have led to Memphis’ downfall, the All-Star forward stood firmly by Brooks on one thing: the fact that 38-year-old James is already too old.

Jackson added his point by highlighting recent rumors about James considering retirement, and even caught his eye when George’s co-host Jackie Long said James wasn’t that old.
While Jackson’s rebuttal may feel like a shadow, the 23-year-old remains keen to show King James respect before looking forward to a future rematch. After telling George he was a LeBron fan growing up and calling the four-time champion “the greatest player to play,” Jackson explained that he hopes Memphis will see Los Angeles again in the postseason.
“I hope we get a chance,” he said, “because I don’t know, like, how many years he wants to do it.”
Like Jackson, many NBA fans will likely be interested in the Grizzlies-Lakers Part Two after this year’s fireworks. What role Brooks will likely play in the encounter remains to be seen, however, given the possibility that he won’t be the “Poker Bears” with Memphis next season.
