Last week, the former UConn guard Nahim Alleyne He announced that he was heading to the transportation gate.
It didn’t take long to figure out where he would end up.
Allen announced his commitment to st. John’s on his Twitter account Sunday night. He will play with new coach Rick Pitino.

The 6-4 senior guard has one more season of eligibility left and can play immediately.
A native of Buford, Ga. Alleyne spent the first three seasons of his college career at Virginia Tech, where he helped lead the Hokies to two NCAA Tournaments. He averaged 5.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game last season.
His best game as a Huskies came on February 7, when he put up 13 points in an 87-72 win over Marquette.
A move to St John’s meant Alleyne would face his former team mates at least twice next season. This fact was not lost on Tristen Newton, who commented on Alleyne’s Instagram post:
“Now I can fry you like I was told,” with a laughing crying emoji.

Alleyne’s move will certainly make UConn’s clash with St. John’s is even more exciting to watch next season.
