DENVER (AP) — Second half adjustments for the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets team included a change in the location of the shot clock.
The shot and game clocks were restored to their rightful place over the basket in the first half during Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night.
This is after a pre-game “timeout” that no one called. The malfunction forced officials to place a timer at both ends of the Ball Arena floor.
It made a different kind of look for LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, and the rest of the guys, who usually look a little bit from where they’re shooting to see how much time is left. In the first half, they had to look to the right side of the baseline. The yellow numbers indicate the time remaining in the quarter, and the red numbers indicate the time remaining on the shot clock 24 seconds.
The Nuggets and Lakers quickly adapted. There were no shot clock violations in the first half.
