The Golden State Warriors managed to finish at times, but once again lost to the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, bringing their current series record to 2-0 against them.
Unless something major changes, the defending champions could exit the playoffs in the first round.
Monday night’s game was filled with excellent plays, a boisterous crowd, and some dramatic action.
The most exciting moment came when Draymond Green was sent off after stepping on the chest of Kings huge man Domantas Sabonis.
The incident came after Sabonis fell to the ground and wrapped himself around Green’s leg.
The fall, Green’s reaction, and his ejection after the match were much talked about, including by Klay Thompson.
According to NBACentral, Thompson blamed Sabonis, saying, “What are you going to do when someone grabs your foot and you’re running full speed?”

While it was commendable to see Thompson support his friend and teammate, most of the internet derided his statement about Green.
One Twitter responded bluntly about what Green was supposed to do: “Don’t step on their chest.”
Don’t step on their chest

Others were questioning Thompson’s assessment that Green was running “full speed” when it looked like he wasn’t moving yet when he wrapped Sabonis around his leg.
Lol, full speed… Drey wasn’t even working 🤣🤣🤣

Some people have focused on how Green regularly gets himself into such situations.
So, when there is a question as to who caused it, Green’s past and public persona will have people blaming him.
Personally, I think this should have been a double tech and run. But Draymond always finds himself in these situations. The benefit of the doubt will accrue to the other player(s) involved. He has a history of intentionally hurting other players in times of trouble.

Green’s ejection from the game made it difficult for the Warriors to come back and secure a win.
They eventually lost, 114-106.
Will he redeem himself by making a big comeback for Game 3?
Team fans hope so because Golden State’s chances of turning this series around are fading.
