the NBA The qualifiers saw some very competitive first round matches.
But, there’s also a little that left us wondering, “What could it have been?”
One of those series were the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.
They entered the Western Conference playoffs as four and five seeds, respectively.
However, the Suns managed to win the series in five games.
One of the reasons the Suns let loose was because the Clippers were missing their best players.
Another reason the Suns won was because of Devin Booker’s play.
According to StatMuse, Booker has led the playoffs in points scored to date.
Most points in qualifying:
186 – Devin Booker
158 – Anthony Edwards
146- Jimmy Butler
145- Jaafar pic.twitter.com/SjV6cHinKj– StatMuse (statmuse) April 26, 2023
Every one of those players above played five games with the exception of Jimmy Butler.
The Heat star played just four points and scored an incredible 146 points, including a season-high 56-point game.
As for Booker and Phoenix, they will have to keep scoring to win.
They are not a very good defensive team and rely on Booker and Kevin Durant for most of their offensive work.
While the Suns are the favorites to win the Western Conference, it will be interesting to see if their stars can continue that workload.
Phoenix gets almost no production off the bench, and consistently plays just six players.
While they have managed to get past an injury-plagued Clippers team, it will be much more difficult for them in the second round.
The Denver Nuggets and Suns will face off in the second round for a chance to go to the Western Conference Finals.
It will probably be one of the best playoff series.
