Some people wondered what the Golden State Warriors were doing when they sent Jordan Paul, one of their most promising young players, for Chris Paul just days ago.
While Paul is a confirmed future Hall-of-Famer, he’s also 38 years old, and would make a Warriors team that already has an aging core even older.
But Paul sought to give Warriors fans something to look forward to when he posted a video message on social media.

With Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green crunching more and more miles on their odometers, it looks like the Golden State should be getting younger, not older.
They seemed to have a nice young squad of complementary players when they won the NBA championship in 2022, but in recent months, they’ve dismantled that representation.
Paul is now with the Washington Wizards, while big man James Wiseman was traded to the Detroit Pistons in February.
Forward Jonathan Cuminga and goalkeeper Musa Moody are still present, but there are questions about how much they can contribute going forward.
Paul is still a very solid leader and distributor, but his offensive game has been on the decline over the past year and has changed.
In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 16.4 points a game on 49.9 percent total shooting and 39.5 percent from 3-point range, but those numbers have fallen to 13.9 points per contest on 44.0 percent total shooting and 37.5 percent quarterback. This past season.
He’ll come off the bench for the Warriors, which will be a huge adjustment, and there are questions about whether he can make his shooting style fit in with their fast-paced, fast-moving offense.
