With the Portland Trail Blazers heading into a youth movement led by rookie guard Scoot Henderson, the clock is ticking at the time and place where the struggling franchise will trade superstar Damian Lillard.
Although Lillard made it very clear that he only wanted to play for the Miami Heat to join Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler, the Blazers Coppers were reluctant to send him there, as the trade was not up to Portland. They want permanent all stars.
With the Blazers doing their due diligence to find the right trade package for Lillard, the veteran guard became noticeably frustrated with the process and the backlash he received for asking the team that finally drafted him to trade him.
This led to some cryptic tweets on Lillard’s Twitter account, which Fox Sports’ Chris Broussard criticized for the vague nature of these tweets, via First Things First.

Vague tweets and vague messages sent on social media have become all too common for professional athletes, as they tend to try to express their opinions about their situation but won’t come out and say exactly what they think or feel.
Broussard is right about these ambiguous messages and how they confuse the situation rather than help it, as it is almost a cry for attention rather than an attempt to make things right or get a message across.
As for the commercial situation, there’s no telling where Lillard will land at this point, as the situation appears to have turned ugly with no timeline to be resolved.
