The Cardiff Devils announced Wednesday night that they have parted ways with coach Brody Dupont and assistant Christian Horn.
“Brody and Christian are two of the best hockey people I’ve ever met,” said managing director Todd Kellman. “We wish them all well next season. I’m sure they will get more opportunities to come behind the bench with another organization in the near future.”
Dupont has taken over the coaching duties for the final weeks of the 2021/22 season. After guiding the team to the 2022 title, he was given a full-time head coach role for 2022/23. Horn joined him as an assistant midway through the season. Despite reaching the final game of the year, the Devils finished the regular season in fourth place – their lowest ranking since 2014 – and were eliminated from the Challenge Cup in the quarter-finals.
