The Washington Capitals announced that they have signed fullback Chase Briskey to a one-year ($775,000 / $350,000) contract. Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian McClellan announced the signing on Wednesday.
Priskie, 27, was originally drafted by Washington in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft, but was not signed to a contract before the Capitals rights expired.

Briskey scored 22 points (11G, 11A) in 58 games with the AHL’s San Diego Goals and Rochester Americans last season, including 13 points (7G, 6A) in 16 games with San Diego after being I got it.
