With the fight looming, Showtime Sports released a video highlighting the separate paths that led them to this moment.
Ahead of the highly anticipated bout, Primus (11-3) and Bernawi (20-4) reflect on what inspires them and the importance of winning the Bellator lightweight tournament. Primus, who won the Bellator lightweight championship against Michael Chandler in 2017, is looking to conquer the lightweight division for a second time, while Bernawi, on the other hand, is fighting to cement his place in the marquee after his upset victory over Adam Picollotti last October.
The feature will air Friday through 296- Masoud Showtime is airing a five-round five-way bout between former world middleweight champion Gegard Musasi (49-8-2) and Fabian Edwards (11-2). In addition, former world bantamweight champion Welter Douglas Lima (32-11) will make his middleweight debut in a three-round bout against top European contender Costello van Stennes (14-2) and Thibaut Gutti (16-6). Facing Ken Moses (14-4) in a lightweight three-round match to open the telecast.
