The Heat and Knicks returned to Game 3 of their second round series against each other on Saturday afternoon and were tied at one game by piece.
You can check out our full betting preview on Total here, but this article will be about the player prop of Jimmy Butler, Josh Hart and Gabe Vincent. Butler sat out Game Two with an ankle injury, but that appears to have more to do with rest as he will now have five full days to recover.
Meanwhile, Hart has been a staple of the Knicks’ postseason career, but is there a way to play against him? The same can be said for Vincent, who has been big on the Heat in both games in New York, so can he keep it up now at home?
We swear all that and more with our favorite bets.
Best NBA bets Knicks vs. Heat
- Jimmy Butler over 6.5 rebounds (-125)
- Josh Hart under 3.5 assists (-113)
- Gabe Vincent Over 2.5 Three Pointers (-120)
Jimmy Butler over 6.5 rebounds
Butler wasn’t confirmed for Game 3 on Saturday, but based on the fact that reports indicated he was about to fire on Tuesday for Game 2 and was on the sidelines without a shoe, I’m optimistic he’ll play.
Assuming he’s close to 100%, Butler should help the Heat to the glass, as New York edged Miami 50-34 in game two.
Butler is one of the team’s best rebounding players, he’s averaging 12.2 rebound chances per game this postseason, but he’s only averaging 6.8 chances per game. However, when Butler plays more than 40 minutes, he averages more than eight (four games).
I think Butler makes a difference on the glass and grabs seven panes in the process.
Josh Hart is under 3.5 assists
I think it’s time to sell high at the Hart pass level, something he’s gone for the last two years despite not achieving in the previous five. Perhaps the Heat will open assist opportunities for the Knicks winger, but with only five possible assists, there is little wiggle room to go beyond that total.
Gabe Vincent made over 2.5 three-pointers
Vincent escalated dramatically in the postseason with Tyler Hero and Victor Oladipo sustaining injuries during the first round and Butler missing the second game. The goalkeeper shoots 40% from three in eight amazing attempts from outside the arc and I love him. Wipe out a 3-point prop again at home in Game 3.
