It’s a win-or-go home for the Boston Celtics Thursday night, as they take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 at the Wells Fargo Center.
Philly stole Game 5 in Boston behind a monster game from Joel Embiid, who is on my list of Game 6 prop bets.
Ambidext, Jason Tatum and the Celtics’ lead guard are the three players to target in this matchup.
Here’s why:
Best bets NBA vs Celtics vs Sixers
- Jason Tatum over 44.5 points, rebounds and assists
- Malcolm Brogdon over 14.5 points
- Joel Embiid over 29.5 points
Jason Tatum over 44.5 points, rebounds and assists
Jayson Tatum only scored seven points in Game 2, but outside of that he’s been hanging around that number all series.
This is his PRA by game:
Game 1:55
Game 2:17
Game 3:42
Game 4:48
Game 5:51
I expect Tatum to play all the minutes he can handle in Game 6 with Boston’s season on the line, and he’s really made his move as a playmaker in this series, hitting 10+ boards in four of the five games.
With this floor, together with its registration, it should pay 44.5 PRA on a Thursday night.
Malcolm Brogdon over 14.5 points
This is a major rebounding spot for Malcolm Brogdon.
The NBA sixth man only had seven points in Game Five, but had scored more than 15 points in five straight games prior to that bid.
With Derrick White and Marcus Smart serving hit-or-miss games on offense, Brogdon should see a steady diet of shots and minutes in Game 6.
He burned Philly in the series, averaging 16.8 points per game while shooting 53.1 percent from outside the arc.
Joel Embiid over 29.5 points
Joel Embiid has 30-plus points in three straight games against Boston in this series, grabbing 19, 26 and 23 snaps over those games.
The Celtics didn’t have an answer for Embiid, primarily using Al Horford to guard him with Robert Williams III seeing very limited action.
Embiid won the MVP and scoring titles for a reason, and he’s also been great in the series. Boston doesn’t have a great game for him, so I expect him to come out with Philly about to end this series.
